Over 1,000 progressive agricultural thinkers from Iowa and surrounding states are expected, which will include crop production professionals, grain professionals, pesticide applicators, seed industry representatives and college students.
Nationally recognized speakers from industry, academia, and regulatory bodies have been lined up to speak. Attendees will have a wide selection of educational opportunities which includes the Agribusiness Leadership Forum that exposes Agribusiness owners, executives and senior managers to perspectives and ideas that will aid them in strengthening their leadership within their companies and throughout the agribusiness industry.
Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) will once again be able earn required CEUs by choosing from over twenty different sessions offered during the Ag Industry and Crop Management Conference. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 will begin with a special session that will feature Dean Lemke, AAI Nutrient Management & Environmental Stewardship Director and Jerry P. Hatfield, from National Lab for Ag & the Environment.
At 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, AAI will hold its annual meeting followed by the All Industry Reception from 5 – 7 p.m.
The indoor field-day will be held again on Wednesday, February 10; allowing for CCAs to obtain an additional 6 continuing education units (CEUs) while browsing exhibits, equipment and interacting with over 120 vendors. In addition, over 200 Iowa community college students will attend the 2nd Annual Agribusiness Career Day and the Agribusiness Career Day – Job Fair. Over $10,000 worth in prizes will be awarded through the event’s popular attendee prize drawing starting at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, February 10.
